iRest – Integrative Restoration Meditation

Yoga Nidra is an ancient meditation practice that supports deep relaxation and a greater sense of balance and wellbeing. Gentle and accessible, it invites the body to rest deeply while cultivating awareness of sensations, emotions and thoughts.

iRest® adapts the practice of Yoga Nidra for modern life through a structured, body-based approach for meditation and deep rest. Offered as individual sessions or a four-week course, the practice is easy to learn and can be adapted to different needs and life circumstances.

People Practising iRest Report:

  • Decreased stress, anxiety, fear and depression
  • Improved sleep and decreased insomnia
  • An ability to better manage chronic and acute pain
  • Healthier interpersonal relationships
  • Heightened energy levels
  • More confidence and joy
  • Effective for trauma and PTSD

Research into iRest has explored its potential to support stress reduction, improve sleep, alleviate chronic pain and improve wellbeing, including effective use for people experiencing trauma and PTSD. Through gentle body sensing and deep relaxation, the practice can help settle the nervous system, soften habitual stress responses and create a greater sense of ease in mind and body.

iRest has been used in a range of settings, including healthcare, military and veteran programs, community organisations and meditation centres internationally.
