Embodied meditation for deeper presence
The Aware Body is a practice-focused exploration of embodied meditation—a deeper journey into breath, body and awareness.
Through a series of powerful somatic practices, we move beyond the busy thinking mind into the direct experience of breath, sensation, movement and deep stillness. Gently easing our patterns of tension and reactivity, we can discover a more grounded and integrated experience of presence.
Blending contemporary neuroscience and meditation research with the wisdom of contemplative traditions, Lydia guides a deep exploration into the energy of awareness through the breath and body.
What does it mean to meditate with the body?
Meditation can sometimes remain another activity of the thinking mind – something we do rather than something we deeply experience. So much of life is experienced through thoughts and habitual ways of seeing that we can lose touch with the immediacy and vitality of simply being alive. The Aware Body invites us to come home to the body – to rest, restore and experience awareness directly.
Through five unique body-based practices, we explore progressively deeper dimensions of presence – bringing breath to life and learning to inhabit the body from within. The breath becomes a gateway into our living experience, deepening our sensitivity to sensation, energy, emotion and the subtle intelligence of awareness.
This is an invitation to experience meditation as an integrated way of being – aligning body, mind and heart.
The body becomes the ground, the path and the gateway
As we engage with the practices, we can experience a natural spaciousness, vitality and inner steadiness. The body becomes both our grounding and our gateway – opening to greater vitality and a richer experience of being alive.
Ultimately, The Aware Body is about coming home to ourselves—discovering the body not simply as something we have, but as a living field of experience through which we can access greater insight, connection and presence.
